Position Overview

We’re seeking a Technology Solutions Architect (TSA) to join our Engineering Center of Excellence. In this role, you will support our sales organization by developing cutting-edge electronic security solutions tailored to client needs while collaborating closely with sales leadership to shape strategy, design, and technology support across regional and national teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise to drive customer discussions on electronic security solution offerings.
- Assist in coordinating communications and activities between the sales teams, local and regional field resources, and the pre/post-sales engineering department.
- Act as the systems integrations and field applications expert for the sales organization.
- Direct and mentor teams across sales, costing, engineering, and field implementation.
- Perform customer consultations, presentations, and demonstrations of technologies to fit customer needs.
- Represent Securitas at events and external tradeshows such as GSX, ISC, NRF, RILA, and more.
- Conduct detailed field surveys for design development and solution estimating.
- Value engineer solutions to meet customer needs and assist sales operations to win business.
- Support costing and estimating teams with bill of materials, scope of work, presales device placement drawings, and subcontractor collaboration.
- Assist in preparing sales proposals with technical information and ensure proposals meet product standards.
- Advise product management on defects and provide customer input for product improvements.
- Support field teams in selecting and implementing standard technology solutions.
- Provide insights for advanced planning when customers are migrating or implementing new technology.
- Address technology-related questions, assist with scope reviews, and participate in meetings and walkthroughs.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in Electronic Security.
- 5+ years’ experience in designing Electronic Security systems (including Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, CCTV/VMS, Visitor Management Systems, and Intercom Systems).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
- A valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
- Detailed knowledge of integrated electronic security solutions and design.
- Familiarity with Fire Alarm & Life Safety Code.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and networking.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic security specifications, perform equipment counts, determine cable requirements & distances, and calculate power load and battery needs.
- Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
Preferred Qualifications
- Consultative sales process experience.
- Field Applications experience.
- Systems Integration experience.
- Experience with Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) and Global Security Operations Centers (GSOC).
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Visio.
- Knowledge of high security credentials such as iClass/DESFire and Personal Identity Verification (PIV/FICAM).
- Understanding or certification with UL (681 & 2050) and high security applications/systems.
- Knowledge of Structured Cabling, BICSI Certification, or EIA/TIA-568 standards.
- Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes or NICET certification in your assigned area.
