Position Overview
GXO Logistics, one of the largest contract logistics companies in the world, is seeking a Non-CDL Driver in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating equipment, transferring and delivering freight, and maintaining accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate, transfer, and deliver freight using a box truck and/or other equipment.
- Move 26 ft. trailers in and out of loading doors.
- Operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials safely.
- Maintain required documentation including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, and shipping records.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure proper load security.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Current DOT medical card.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 2 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least six months of recent DOT regulated (CDL or non-CDL) driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned/unplanned overtime and weekends.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
