Job Description
Position Overview
Join our team in a unique role providing programmatic, analytical, and technical support to our West Coast Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems Ship Integration and Test (PEO IWS 1SI) Waterfront Management team at Naval Base San Diego. The position integrates with and supports multiple entities including NSWC Port Hueneme (PHD) Combat System Project Engineers, Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP)/Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), NSWC Dahlgren, and various program contractors. Location: Naval Base San Diego, CA. Please note that there is no relocation assistance available and applicants must either reside in or be willing to relocate to San Diego, CA or the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Provide programmatic, analytical, and technical support to the PEO IWS 1SI Waterfront Management team and related military program initiatives.
- Ensure the successful completion of performance-based deliverables by adhering to BAE Systems and customer processes, work instructions, and directives, while verifying technical data and investigating discrepancies.
- Analyze message traffic related to ship maintenance—including command changes, risk assessments, and schedule changes—to properly plan and execute ship maintenance.
- Collect, analyze, and extrapolate data from CSPE reports, TYCOM C5I reports, TCIP reports, and other correspondences to update the Ship Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII) and generate dashboard reports.
- Collaborate with onsite customers and participate in waterfront activity meetings to report on ship availability, planning progress, risks, and limitations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, business, computer science, or IT discipline; or Associate degree with at least 4 years of related experience; or High School diploma with 6 years of related experience.
- Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting military programs.
- Proficiency with MS 365 (TEAMS, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe products.
- Qualifications: Familiarity with the AEGIS Combat System.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Work Center Supervisor.
