In this role, you will be an employee of NXTPoint working on site at the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care facility. Shift Hours: Night Shift - 8:00 PM-4:30 AM
Major Goal: This position is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing of product to meet the company’s standards of sanitation, safety, security, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), light assembly using hand tools, and record storage.
- Repair and recoup damaged goods as required.
- Count all product, compare to manifest, and inspect shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates.
- Report shortages, damages, and miss-shipments on appropriate forms.
- Perform unload/load activities for shipments and efficiently relocate, stack, and store merchandise.
- Ensure correct quantities and types of products are picked and transport orders using material handling equipment.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts while ensuring proper stock rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School or G.E.D. degree; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to perform the essential physical tasks, including frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- Willingness to comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and report unsafe activities.
