Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the field of virtual and augmented reality, specifically in areas such as immersive technologies, human-computer interaction, and computer graphics.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to virtual and augmented reality, such as introductory courses, advanced seminars, and specialized electives.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate students in their research projects and theses.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers within the group and across departments to develop and lead interdisciplinary research projects.
  • Publish high-quality research papers and secure research funding through grants and contracts.
  • Participate in professional conferences, workshops, and other events to present research findings and stay up-to-date with advancements in the field.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with industry and other external organizations to promote research collaborations and opportunities for students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new virtual and augmented reality courses or programs.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, such as serving on committees and advising students.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance teaching and research skills through professional development and training.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the Virtual and Augmented Reality Group at the University of Central Florida.
  • Uphold the values and standards of the university and promote a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
