Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a passion for building scalable solutions, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. You will design, develop, and maintain robust applications and services that power our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Ensure security and compliance in all development activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Go, Node.js, or Python (expertise in at least one language).
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development; hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB; excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or a related field.
- Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or a related field.
- Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences with knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and the ability to integrate digital accessibility seamlessly in products and services.
