SITE DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS for DEFENSE / MILITARY products

Job Description

We have been retained by a well-established, $70M organization that needs an experienced SITE LEADER / DIRECTOR of OPERATIONS for their growing DEFENSE / MILITARY products division in the Fort Lauderdale region. The company is in a very niche segment and plays in a variety of industries to offer a nice, balanced portfolio.

This is a “highly visible” hands-on leadership position, reporting directly to the headquarters CEO.

We need an individual with strong leadership and DEFENSE products experience to lead SITE OPERATIONS and PRODUCTION

• Continue to update all operational policies, procedures and infrastructure to increase capacity and accommodate growth while mitigating risk(s), drive continuous improvements, and influence change.
• Collaborate with Engineering, BD / Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure that program requirements and deliverables are met.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 5+ years of leadership with a DEFENSE / AEROSPACE manufacturing & production environment
• P&L for at least $20m
• Strong communication skills, able to ensure gov’t compliance & program requirements, manage schedules, and mitigate risks
• Understanding of contract compliances for military programs - Mil-Std's, AS9100
• US Citizenship required
