Job Description

Position Overview

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you’ll employ the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability. You will help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and build efficient systems for our clients – all while growing your career in a mission-driven environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience developing software with Python
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications
  • Experience using the Linux operating system and Bash scripting
  • Knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, or Lambda)
  • Knowledge of AWS networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, and security groups)
  • Ability to work in an Agile, team-based environment using collaboration tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ability to obtain DoD IAT Level II or Level III certification within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Java, C/C++, or Go
  • Experience with build automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or DevSecOps
  • Experience interacting with AWS APIs programmatically (Boto3)
  • Experience writing and maintaining CloudFormation templates
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving issues within AWS environments
  • Experience with software or systems architecture
  • Knowledge of IAM roles, policies, users, and groups
  • DoD IAT Level II or Level III certification
