As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP) based in Oakland, CA (Hybrid), you will join a dynamic team that values innovation, inclusion, and impact. Key Responsibilities
- Engineer, select, and design HVAC systems.
- Prepare HVAC drawings, perform analysis, manage specifications, and execute calculations.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and client interaction skills.
- Oversee and mentor HVAC support staff.
- Handle construction administration and site observations on projects.
- Provide exemplary service to both team members and clients.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years’ experience in MEP/AEC design and consulting.
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems in public safety, educational, and commercial sectors.
- Understanding of industry codes and standards.
- Proven experience in client meetings and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License.
- LEED Accreditation.
- Working knowledge of IES-VE.
