Position Overview

GSI Environmental has an immediate opening for an Entry- to Mid-Level Engineer to support our water resources, environmental and geotechnical practices. Experience Required: Entry- to Mid-Level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support projects in hydrogeology, water resources, surface hydraulics, hydrology, and geotechnical engineering.
  • Perform technical analyses under the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Conduct data collection, compilation, visualization, analysis, computer modeling, and field activities.
  • Participate in proposal development, project management, and business development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree with a background in groundwater/hydrogeology, environmental engineering, surface water hydraulics, coastal engineering, hydrology and/or geotechnical fields.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.
  • Proficiency in programming using at least one language such as MATLAB, R, and/or Python.
  • Understanding of statistical and probabilistic analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent computer modeling skills with knowledge of models such as TOUGH, MODFLOW, and MIKE21 is preferred.
