Position Overview
GSI Environmental has an immediate opening for an Entry- to Mid-Level Engineer to support our water resources, environmental and geotechnical practices. Experience Required: Entry- to Mid-Level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support projects in hydrogeology, water resources, surface hydraulics, hydrology, and geotechnical engineering.
- Perform technical analyses under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Conduct data collection, compilation, visualization, analysis, computer modeling, and field activities.
- Participate in proposal development, project management, and business development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree with a background in groundwater/hydrogeology, environmental engineering, surface water hydraulics, coastal engineering, hydrology and/or geotechnical fields.
- Excellent data analysis skills, including familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.
- Proficiency in programming using at least one language such as MATLAB, R, and/or Python.
- Understanding of statistical and probabilistic analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent computer modeling skills with knowledge of models such as TOUGH, MODFLOW, and MIKE21 is preferred.
