Position Overview

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities using automated scanning tools to ensure the security posture of DoD Information Systems.
  • Manage the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program, leading remediation efforts in accordance with DoD requirements.
  • Oversee and maintain the organization’s 2-letter Incident Response Program; develop and update relevant policies.
  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs) and directives issued by the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable project plans, manage schedules, set milestones, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Exercise sound judgment in evaluating options and making informed decisions in dynamic operational environments.
  • Perform quality assurance and control activities throughout the project lifecycle to maintain compliance and performance standards.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality executive-level briefing materials for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Utilize research tools and open-source information to troubleshoot issues and identify effective solutions in support of operational needs.
  • Demonstrate competent knowledge of the Risk Management Framework, Computer Network Defense, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Work as a self-starter with minimal direction while exhibiting good communication skills and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with other contracts and government entities to minimize agency risk.
  • Apply adequate problem solving skills to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
  • Train and develop entry-level employees.
  • Utilize cybersecurity tools (ACAS, ESS, Tanium, SIEM, eMASS) to generate reports and deliverables.
  • Conduct quality reviews of all Cyber policies and documentation, recommending updates as necessary.
  • Pursue advanced level knowledge and skills required for the advanced role.
  • Deliver quality products that require minimal modifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM/Cyber-related field or equivalent from an accredited institution with at least 5 years of cyber technical experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in a non-STEM/Cyber field with 7 years of DoD Cyber technical experience and proven expertise in missile defense or other complex DoD programs/projects.
  • Alternatively, an Associate degree in STEM/Cyber-related field with 10 years of DoD cyber experience and demonstrated knowledge in cyber and missile defense or other large-scale DoD programs/projects.
  • IAT II Certification is required prior to accepting the position.
  • Must have a technical certification or 2 years’ experience with McAfee Endpoint Security, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Splunk, or experience implementing network/enclave/system security toolsets with hands-on experience reviewing technical assessment reports and prioritizing corrective actions. Certification in the required tools must be achieved within 6 months of position acceptance.
