Job Description

Position Overview

The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional performs analysis of business, process, and user needs, and translates them into system requirement specifications. In this role, you will work on moderately complex to complex issues, influencing departmental strategy and validating benefits achieved from solution implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and define systems and objectives based on both user needs and applicable business requirements.
  • Devise or modify procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, operating time, and desired results.
  • Validate benefits achieved from solution implementation.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify insights and recommend actions for improving customer and associate experiences, increasing productivity, and reducing operating costs.
  • Support the development of business cases by documenting and assessing current and future state processes and requirements.
  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data for digital and service solutions.
  • Define outcomes that align with Humana’s strategy and customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in building business cases and presenting data-driven insights with infographics to executives and operational leaders
  • Experience using Power BI datasets and other data visualization and query tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Advanced experience in aggregating and analyzing large data sets using MS Excel and Power BI
  • Proven capability in problem analysis and process improvement
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification
  • Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
