Position Overview

In this role as a Product Manager with Helena Products Group (HPG), you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing business objectives for our proprietary product portfolio. You will work in the coastal territory from Oxnard to Salinas, California. Compensation: The salary ranges from $85,000 to $110,000, and this position is bonus eligible with a company vehicle provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes the sale of HPG branded products and services within the division.
- Develops sales promotion programs and innovative ideas to increase sales and profits.
- Trains and coaches the salesforce and leadership team on the HPG product line.
- Travels with the sales team to make joint calls and presentations to potential customers.
- Conducts and assists with customer meetings regarding HPG products.
- Collaborates with Business Unit & Division Management and Strategic Account Manager to set sales and profit goals.
- Assists in evaluating sales team performance with regard to HPG products.
- Monitors sales goals and reports progress to leadership.
- Partners with teams such as AGRIntelligence, Agronomy, and Fertilizer to integrate and promote total Helena offerings.
- Works with suppliers and academia to educate and promote HPG products.
- Attends trade shows to support and represent the sales team.
- Provides input for marketing and coordinates new product introductions.
- Identifies label change recommendations and provides production input to ensure adequate product supply.
- Maintains inventory levels as required and delivers excellent customer service.
- May be required to drive a company vehicle and perform other assigned duties while following company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma with eight years of progressive agricultural experience will be considered.
- At least three years of experience in the agriculture business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage high levels of activity under various conditions.
- Strong communication skills in English; Spanish communication is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective sales presentations to diverse audiences.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
- Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required.
