Position Overview
We are a multi-platform Entertainment Group spanning music, film, television, digital media, graphic novels, magazine publishing, concerts, festivals, tours, and events. Our legendary rock magazine is being reimagined for the digital age through streaming, print, and live experiences. Based in a disruptive creative environment that champions visionary artists and storytellers, we are seeking a dynamic Video Producer, Writer, Shooter, and Editor. Applicants must have entertainment experience and reside in Nashville TN. In this role, you will create high-impact video content for web, mobile, social, and OTT platforms—from live events and artist interviews to behind-the-scenes footage and podcasts—seeing projects through the entire post-production process while capturing the essence of Sumerian’s gritty, rock-driven aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with creative, marketing, and production teams to conceptualize and execute a diverse slate of video content.
- Produce, write, and shoot video content including events, performances, interviews, promos, and lifestyle shows.
- Edit footage into fully finished pieces and shows.
- Collaborate with the Media Manager to organize footage, manage media, and oversee post-production workflows from ingest to delivery.
- Ensure all content aligns with the brand tone, visual style, and storytelling goals.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shooting and editing video in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Proficiency in camera operations (DSLRs, mirrorless, cinema cameras) and basic lighting/audio techniques.
- Strong expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Photoshop is a plus.
- A robust portfolio that showcases storytelling, pacing, and music-driven content.
- A passion for music and culture, with the ability to work in a bold, visually distinct style.
- Must currently reside in the Nashville, Tennessee area.
