Position Overview

Design With Purpose. Build What’s Next. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and mentors to design sites that shape Tampa Bay’s growing communities. At Bohler’s Location: Tampa, FL office, we are seeking a Design Engineer who’s ready to grow, take on new challenges, and contribute to innovative land development projects. In this role, you’ll support site design projects from concept to completion by working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to create practical and creative solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans
  • Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to deliver coordinated design packages
  • Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies
  • Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience Required: 0–3 years in land development design (internship or full-time)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic engineering design principles
  • Attention to detail and curiosity to learn new tools and methods
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
