Position: Entry Level Civil Engineers – based in Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Logan, Ohio and/or Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. We welcome engineers in multiple disciplines including Transportation, Structural/Bridge, Water, Geotechnical, Surveying, and Construction Services. Diversity candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering, construction, and design assignments requiring a solid grasp of at least one engineering discipline and the application of professional judgment.
• Handle projects of minor complexity and provide leadership to less experienced staff.
• Work under close supervision and support more experienced personnel.
• Conduct field testing of soils, concrete, water, sewer mains, and manholes.
• Document all project activities and quantities clearly and concisely.
• Perform analyses and design for minor structures, systems, and equipment.
• Prepare sketches, diagrams, and review detailed drawings and layouts.
• Assist in preparing reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and evaluations of alternative methods or materials.
• Contribute to contract/proposal specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Review contractor shop drawing submittals.
• Coordinate construction monitoring and field activities while adhering to the Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least one relevant internship experience in Transportation, Water, Geotechnical, Structural, Construction Services, or Surveying is preferred.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or the ability to obtain it within one year.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Ability to safely traverse construction and project sites and comply with applicable safety codes.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
