Position Overview
Shutterstock’s Data Licensing division is accelerating its expansion into AI, technology, enterprise, and developer ecosystems. We are hiring an exceptional Account Executive, New Business to drive net-new customer acquisition and generate revenue across high-potential markets. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle—from targeted prospecting and opportunity creation to negotiation and contract execution—while navigating large organizations and building business from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outbound and inbound strategies to source, qualify, and close net-new business across AI, technology, and enterprise sectors.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through targeted prospecting, multi-threaded account engagement, and relationship building with senior stakeholders.
- Understand customer needs, use cases, and technical requirements to position Shutterstock’s data licensing solutions effectively.
- Partner with Sales Development on lead quality, campaign alignment, and territory strategy.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to signed agreement, including discovery, value articulation, proposal creation, negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting, CRM hygiene, and reporting discipline within Salesforce.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Operations, and Marketing to develop solutions, accelerate deal cycles, and ensure high-quality customer onboarding.
- Represent Shutterstock at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements to promote pipeline development and brand visibility.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: 8–10 years in B2B, enterprise sales, or data/AI licensing with a strong focus on new business acquisition.
- Qualifications: Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quotas and closing complex, high-value deals.
- Qualifications: Demonstrated success in prospecting and pipeline generation within large organizations with expertise in multi-threading.
- Qualifications: Proficiency with modern GTM tools (Salesforce, Outreach, intent data platforms, ABM tools).
- Qualifications: Excellent communicator, negotiator, and storyteller who can inspire customer confidence and clearly articulate value.
- Qualifications: Highly structured, self-motivated, and metrics-driven; thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Education: BA/BS required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualifications: Strong understanding of data, APIs, AI/ML workflows, or enterprise SaaS solutions preferred.
- Qualifications: Experience selling into technical audiences (AI, engineering, product, data science) a plus.

- Salary: 200,000 - 270,000 per year in New York
