Job Description
Position Overview
This position is primarily responsible for performing various types of support onsite or at a customer's location, including printing and apparel equipment and software troubleshooting, training, and repair. The specialist works face-to-face, over the telephone, and via email to help resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Documents and troubleshoots incoming support requests, exploring multiple solutions until issues are resolved.
- Travels to customers to provide outstanding service by installing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing printing and apparel equipment.
- Provides onsite training by demonstrating proper techniques for operating, maintaining, and adjusting equipment, as well as creating designs using specialized software.
- Supports colleagues by assisting with custom sample creation, equipment demonstrations, repair, quality control, and equipment preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in apparel design software, Internet software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Windows Operating System, and word processing software.
- Ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals with effective written and oral communication skills.
- Must be capable of meeting the physical demands, including regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as performing manual tasks such as sitting, standing, and walking.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to balance multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
