Position Overview
As part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Global Supply Chain AI/ML Team and the Aeronautics Operations Simulation and Modeling team, you will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI‐based solutions. In the Supply Chain role, you’ll address complex challenges across all Aero Sites by applying advanced artificial intelligence techniques to improve efficiency and drive productivity. For manufacturing operations at the Marietta and Greenville sites, you will oversee the development and deployment of AI solutions that streamline production and ensure quality. Your expertise in AI will be crucial in collaborating with various business areas, engaging in requirements gathering, and ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement robust software development practices to ensure quality, scalability, and sustainability of AI solutions.
- Engage in requirements gathering to understand operational challenges and capture critical details for solution design.
- Design, develop, and test AI applications tailored for supply chain and production operations.
- Oversee solution deployment and conduct user training to ensure seamless integration and practical usability.
- Drive change management initiatives and champion software sustainability to keep AI solutions reliable and future-ready.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
- Extensive knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and demonstrated experience with AI application development.
- Strong understanding of software development practices – including style enforcement, standard testing, software quality, and code reviews.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% and ability to obtain a government security clearance (US Citizenship required, clearance level: Secret).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with unit tests, style guides, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins, Git (GitLab, GitHub), Docker, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of large language models, natural language processing, and deep learning libraries.
- Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, and SciPy.
- Experience with aircraft manufacturing processes along with strong organizational and communication skills.

- Compensation – Annual base salary ranges from $136,500 to $236,555 in major metropolitan areas and $118,700 to $209,300 in other regions, based on location and experience.
