Dispatcher - Logistics

Position Overview

Blue Sky Couriers is a trusted logistics provider specializing in efficient, reliable last-mile delivery services. We are committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our operations team. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate coordination of deliveries by assigning work to independent contract drivers and supporting overall branch logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch delivery routes to independent contract drivers based on availability, location, and service requirements.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve delays or issues.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customer service representatives (CSRs), and branch leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatched work and driver performance.
• Assist with scheduling, route optimization, and workload balancing.
• Support customer service efforts by providing delivery updates and resolving service inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation operations preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with dispatch software or routing tools is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
