Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, and as required test enhancements to complex modules
- Work with Application Architects, Business Process Architects/Specialists, and other System Specialists to gather and interpret user/system requirements into design specifications
- Develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components
- Design and code applications to functional and technical programming standards
- Provide primary support for installation of application releases into production as directed
- Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews and walkthroughs
- Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our methodologies
- Create operational documentation for the application
- Coordinate work with other Systems Specialists on and across applications
- Provide application/technical support in a timely manner
- Review and understand the application workplan
- Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively provide work status
- Provide input to assist in determining level of effort
- Organize and prepare work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems
- Assist the Client Service Team Manager in monitoring budget by providing estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals for tasks
- Continuously develop industry knowledge and associated skills
- Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks affecting the application
Required Qualifications
- 2 or 4 year STEM Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months Java development experience utilizing web-based applications such as J2EE, JDK, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and HTML
- Experience with technologies including J2EE 1.5, XML, JSP, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals
- Ability to help create an environment that facilitates high performance and motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team
- Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to complete tasks within set budgetary parameters and targets
- Proven ability to work independently as well as a team member
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
