Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Field Events Marketing Specialist to plan, execute, and analyze SailPoint-led and 3rd-party regional field events across the US West & Central regions. Reporting to the AMS Regional Field Marketing team, you will drive brand presence, pipeline generation, and business impact through local and regional events including tradeshows, conferences, roundtables, and more. You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver memorable experiences and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive field events that align with overall Field Marketing objectives and integrated campaigns.
- Serve as the primary owner for SailPoint-led and 3rd-party field events and roundtables, including tradeshows and conferences, ensuring maximum demand generation and brand impact.
- Lead the full event lifecycle – from planning, venue and vendor selection, contract negotiation, logistics, on-site execution to post-event evaluation.
- Drive engagement and attendance through innovative promotional strategies in collaboration with Sales and GTM teams.
- Track KPIs, report on event outcomes, analyze ROI, and optimize future activations using data-driven insights.
- Maintain market intelligence on relevant industry events to identify partnership and lead generation opportunities.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Uphold the company’s brand standards across all event activations for a consistent, high-quality experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in field event marketing planning and execution in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Expertise in planning and executing vendor-led events, roundtables, and local/regional 3rd-party tradeshows and conferences.
- Proven track record of delivering successful field events and activations.
- Excellent planning, project management, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with marketing automation, event management platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Marketo, CVENT, Salesforce, Tableau).
- Experience with budget management and vendor/supplier management, including using tools like Coupa.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to report on event success and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to quickly adjust plans in response to market shifts and on-the-ground challenges.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel (25%-30%) for event coordination and execution.
Compensation
Compensation details vary based on location and employment nature. As part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or role-specific commission, with potential equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges to reflect varying levels of knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations. For US-based employees, the estimated base salary range is: $59,700 - $85,300 - $110,900. Base salaries for employees in other locations are competitive for the respective home market.
