Position Overview

Salary: $38.24 - $59.26 Hourly
Location: Las Vegas, NV

As an academic medical center with a rich history of providing life‐saving treatment in Southern Nevada, UMC serves as the anchor hospital of the Las Vegas Medical District, offering the highest level of care to promote successful medical outcomes. We are home to Nevada’s only Level I Trauma Center, Designated Pediatric Trauma Center, Burn Care Center, and Transplant Center, and are a Pathway Designated facility by ANCC on our journey to Magnet status. The Coordinator is responsible for the evaluation and preparation of patients for organ transplantation and the long‐term management of patients post‐transplant, ensuring continuity of care across the transplant office, outpatient clinic, inpatient nursing unit, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Coordinate the evaluation and preparation of patients for organ transplantation and manage long‐term post‐transplant care by ensuring seamless transitions across the transplant office, outpatient clinic, inpatient nursing unit, and community.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including 1 year in transplant services.
  • Requirements: Possession of a valid Nevada Registered Nurse license. Certification in specialty areas, Basic Life Support (BLS), or additional credentials (e.g., ACLS/ALS, NRP/PALS) are required or may be obtained after hire.
  • Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of performance improvement principles, clinical safety practices, and relevant regulatory guidelines. Skilled in developing policies, coordinating care, and managing competing priorities in a clinical setting.
