Job Description

Position Overview

Our customers are the people who build Texas – and ROMCO EQUIPMENT COMPANY has supported the biggest names in the Texas construction and mining industries since 1961. ROMCO is currently seeking a talented and driven Regional Parts & Operations Manager to ensure parts are available and efficiently managed from procurement to delivery. In this role, you will support customer needs through inventory management at the right price and performance reporting. The position reports directly to the Senior Parts and Logistics Manager and supports the North Texas region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Parts Master Creation
    • Generate and manage new and replacement part numbers for Master data.
    • Price creation and maintenance.
  • Responsibilities: Parts Procurement
    • Review and analyze daily customer back orders for procurement of non-available parts.
    • Ensure parts are available for customers through the parts ordering process.
    • Handle urgent orders for non-available parts.
    • Create supplier purchase orders in the supplier portal and in the DMS system.
    • Provide feedback to relevant teams regarding expected arrival times.
    • Manage and track inter-branch stock transfers and follow up on in-transit items.
    • Monitor and follow up on supplier orders.
    • Order parts publications, tools, and attachments as per demand.
  • Responsibilities: Supporting Functions
    • Collaborate closely with lead parts and counter parts sales.
    • Process shipping documents for goods receiving in the DMS system and supplier invoice processing.
    • Address and resolve supplier discrepancies.
    • Coordinate the return of REMAN parts and handle supplier buybacks and returns.
    • Assist in stock takes, parts scrapping, and disposal.
    • Manage returns to Volvo/suppliers.
    • Plan procurement for warehouse supplies and packaging materials based on WH requests.
    • Handle stock adjustments in the system.
    • Coordinate freight bill verifications and payment approvals.
  • Responsibilities: Performance Reporting – Generate reports on stock takes, warehouse performance, and parts availability.
  • Responsibilities: All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Dealer management system (DMS).
  • Knowledge of electronic parts catalogue.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Broad knowledge of heavy duty construction equipment’s machinery and components.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Attention to detail, strong follow-up, and proven organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience Required: At least 3 years' experience in the spare parts business and in inventory management, logistics, and procurement.
  • Requirements: Driver's License (Required).
  • Location: Fort Worth, TX 76106, In person (Required).
  • Schedule: Full-time.
