Job Description

Position Overview

Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of the largest health delivery systems in California, is seeking an accomplished SCCM Endpoint Engineer. This role is LARGELY REMOTE with a location in Los Angeles, CA 90024 (Hybrid – 99% Remote/1% Onsite) and a duration of 10 months with a strong possibility of extension. NOTE: ONLY W2 CANDIDATES/NO C2C/1099 and candidate must be authorized to work in the USA without requiring sponsorship.

The candidate will travel onsite approximately 2-3 times per year to learn about the client’s setup, engage in team building, or attend vendor meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on the statuses of endpoints utilizing SCCM/MECM and Intune.
  • Travel onsite as needed (approximately 2-3 times per year) for hands-on training, team building, or vendor engagements.
  • Follow established escalation procedures within the TSD Team under the ISS umbrella.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to monitor and report on endpoints using SCCM/MECM and Intune.
  • Strong understanding of networking and Active Directory.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, macOS, Intune, Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, JAMF, and other endpoint management solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (O365, Office 2016, Outlook, Exchange, OWA).
  • Familiarity with project planning, technical documentation, and diagram creation.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and standards such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, and TCP/IP.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience establishing standards and procedures to meet SLAs and best practices.
  • Capability to research and test new technologies and processes, and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience with various desktop management systems including anti-virus software, patch management, full disk encryption, SSO/Tap-Badge (Imprivata) software, and software delivery tools.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to report system statuses to management.
  • Advanced knowledge of ticketing systems (ServiceNow) and cloud computing solutions (Azure, Intune, Autopilot, DaaS, Box, OneDrive).
  • Expertise in desktop imaging and upgrade procedures including SCCM/MECM/MDT, OSD, PXE, and managing thin vs. thick images.
  • Familiarity with VPN remote software, RDP setup, Windows and Citrix printing, and fundamental ITIL concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Apple OS X and iOS operating systems and platforms, as well as virtualization technologies (Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, VMWare, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Amazon Workspaces).
  • Experience with IT Security applications including Cisco AMP, Aruba OnGuard, DUO, FireEye, Windows Defender, BitLocker, Checkpoint Encryption, and USB allowlisting.
