Position Overview

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Commissioning Engineer to support the testing, validation, and start-up of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure across regional project sites. This is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates who enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and field experience. In this role, you will work under experienced commissioning professionals to verify system performance, support start-up activities, troubleshoot issues, and help document commissioning outcomes. This position includes weekly travel to regional projects, providing broad exposure to different systems, industries, and project environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment inspections, system testing, and verification of functional performance.
  • Support the development and execution of commissioning plans, checklists, and test scripts.
  • Help identify system deficiencies and work with senior engineers to troubleshoot solutions.
  • Contribute to system start-up and integration activities across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Maintain accurate logs, test results, deficiency lists, and field notes.
  • Assist in preparing commissioning reports and turnover documentation.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and project managers to support commissioning activities and timelines.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on test results and any issues found.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related engineering field (or equivalent technical training).
  • Strong interest in building systems, equipment start-up, and hands-on field engineering.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts through coursework or internships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Internship or co-op experience in construction, engineering, commissioning, building systems, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical distribution, controls, or instrumentation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally on a weekly basis (company reimbursed).
