Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our growing MEPS team. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical engineering design, building information modeling (BIM) using Revit MEP, CAD drafting with AutoCAD, drawing production, specification writing, discipline coordination among various trades, and performing shop drawing, submittal, construction site, and code reviews for MEP systems on various projects. You will work in a multi-discipline team environment and may collaborate with professionals at Dewberry’s other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Perform electrical engineering design for MEP systems including BIM modeling using Revit MEP and CAD drafting with AutoCAD.
- Produce construction documents such as drawings and specifications, and coordinate among various trades.
- Conduct shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews.
- Review MEP systems designed by others and interface with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications: BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited university.
- Experience Required: 0-2 years technical experience in designing power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems.
- Experience designing electrical systems and producing design documents using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with well-developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. (Dewberry will not sponsor new applicants for work authorization.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
