Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business.
- Serve as a consultative point of contact for clients and identify their needs.
- Provide recommendations with supporting rationale with limited or no oversight from the Producer.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and respond to Requests for Proposals.
- Participate in prospect meetings and direct mid-year reviews.
- Collaborate closely with national leadership to drive line-of-business strategy and initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and train other account service team members.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience
- Experience Required: Six years of relevant insurance industry experience
- Property and casualty insurance license
- Considerable knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced
- Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload, and to oversee application of workflows and procedures
- Leadership skills and a service-oriented approach to provide direction, constructive feedback, and development to maximize team productivity and morale
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and teammates
- Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, and motivate staff
- Discretion and problem-solving skills to analyze client information, assess proposal competitiveness, and resolve relation issues
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel overnight
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree(s)
- Insurance industry certifications in addition to the necessary license
- Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects
