Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician – Tooling to join a small, fast-paced manufacturing operation. This role focuses on tooling, machine setup, and supporting production processes — not product design. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys problem-solving on the shop floor, and can directly support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain tooling layouts using CAD for existing parts
- Support machine setups and troubleshoot issues on the floor
- Rework jobs when problems arise
- Maintain tooling inventory and order necessary tooling, machine parts, and carts
- Collaborate closely with production to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Strong CAD experience (AutoCAD Mechanical preferred)
- Understanding of engineering concepts as they relate to manufacturing
- Mechanical aptitude — ability to understand how things fit and operate together
- ERP experience (experience with GlobalShop or similar is a plus)
Preferred:
- Screw-machine experience or transferable machining/tooling experience
Machines on the Floor:
- Screw machines (Acme Gridley, Davenport)
- CNC lathes (Haas OmniTurn)
- Manual and programmable lathes (Hardinge)
- Threading equipment (Snow tap threaders)

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
