Job Description

Position Overview

As a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, you will develop and grow your own practice backed by a highly supportive team – including branch associates, a home-office team and regional financial advisors – and over 100 years of trusted expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to create tailored financial solutions, build lasting client relationships and make a positive impact in your community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships through face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies including residential, business networking, referrals, social media and speaking engagements.
  • Deeply understand clients’ needs to develop personalized, comprehensive strategies that accelerate trust and help achieve their financial goals.
  • Oversee branch processes and team roles to ensure a high-quality, streamlined client experience aligned with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage and motivate the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the business plan to drive branch effectiveness and desired results.
  • Foster an environment of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability within the branch.
  • Complete ongoing training to maintain registrations, licenses and compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Leverage a firm-provided branch office, client support system and an extensive network to focus on client service.

Required Qualifications

  • Series 7 and Series 66 credentials are required.
  • Proven experience in financial services with in-depth knowledge of investment products and a track record of client success.
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • State insurance licenses are preferred.
  • Additional professional designations such as CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CRPC™ or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™.
