Job Description
Position Overview
The Manager, Marketing (Discovery Cove & Aquatica Orlando) is responsible for supporting and executing integrated marketing programs across both parks. This role involves overseeing email marketing strategies, website content, creative campaign development, and coordination with various internal teams and external partners to drive brand excellence and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Discovery Cove – Oversee the email marketing communications plan in collaboration with the corporate email team, focusing on sales and email acquisition.
- Discovery Cove – Drive elevated, visual excellence for the brand across all executions by working with the in-house creative team on campaign execution.
- Discovery Cove – Liaise with the PR team to facilitate media and influencer visits.
- Discovery Cove – Oversee website content to ensure messaging remains current.
- Discovery Cove – Manage planning for photo and video shoots in collaboration with the content team.
- Discovery Cove – Support the Marketing Vice President on additional projects, including annual planning.
- Discovery Cove – Partner with the Manager of Promotions & Partnerships to ensure alignment on park priorities and to deliver relevant creative and/or prizing engagements.
- Discovery Cove – Attend weekly Admission Revenue meetings and collaborate with revenue management on retail programs and dynamic pricing executions.
- Aquatica Orlando – Build and maintain detailed tactical plans year over year, incorporating learnings and providing clear communications for all park channels.
- Aquatica Orlando – Provide insights and trend analysis to improve marketing program performance.
- Aquatica Orlando – Ensure all consumer event details are communicated effectively across web, email, and social channels.
- Aquatica Orlando – Play a key role in the annual marketing planning process and in developing new capital marketing strategies, including potential partnerships and promotional extensions.
- Aquatica Orlando – Oversee the event email marketing communications plan in collaboration with the corporate email team, focusing on revenue drivers and list growth (with pass-related emails managed separately).
- Aquatica Orlando – Oversee website content to keep messaging current and stay connected with the Aquatica Texas Marketing Team for idea sharing.
- Aquatica Orlando – Nurture a close relationship with the Manager of Integrated Marketing to ensure cohesive delivery on park KPIs.
- Aquatica Orlando – Support the Promotions & Partnerships team in executing media partner revenue-share exclusive events and attend weekly media status calls as well as Admission Revenue meetings.
- Additional – Gather and share competitive waterpark updates, communicate in-park updates regarding new ancillary revenue items, and maintain professional communication with Ambassadors, Vendors, and Guests.
- Additional – Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related communications, tourism, or hospitality field.
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in marketing strategic planning, promotions, and direct marketing (including email, retail promotions, and media messaging).
- Demonstrated ability to execute marketing core competencies such as branding, strategy development, creative discernment, data analysis, customer segmentation, and digital technology.
- Proven ability to manage cross-disciplinary work and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for various audiences, including senior executives.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be available to work varying shifts/hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
