Position Overview
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C., is hiring a Data Center Project Manager in Elkridge, MD. This role is responsible for providing the technical expertise and comprehensive management required to execute Power Systems sales orders per project specifications, thereby achieving maximum gross profit while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is required while a college degree in a related field is preferred.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $90,000 to $105,000 yearly. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, skills, candidate qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business factors. In addition to the base salary, the competitive compensation package may include participation in incentive programs linked to performance such as discretionary or non-discretionary incentive plans including overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Power Systems sales orders per project specifications to maximize gross profit.
- Promote a positive customer experience and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Resolve conflicts with contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, utility companies, and end-users.

Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of BAS/BMS communication, protective relaying, breaker design and functionality, Modbus/Ethernet communication, generator paralleling, diesel engine operating requirements, fuel and cooling systems, and emissions regulations.
- Proficiency with software and operating systems including Word, Excel, EBMS, Sales Force, DBS, Cat PowerNet, SIS-WEB, PSQ, Lotus Notes, EOMP, AutoCAD, and Adobe Standard.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to multitask while maintaining an organized work approach.
- Must have an excellent driving record.
