Position Overview

Energy Transfer moves America's Energy. Founded in 1996, Energy Transfer is one of the most diversified, publicly traded energy infrastructure partnerships with more than 100,000 miles of pipeline across 38 states, Canada and international offices in Beijing. This opportunity is a twelve (12) week paid internship program commencing in May 2025, designed for individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Based in Oklahoma City, this internship offers a hands-on experience as a Commercial / Natural Gas Intern, providing exposure to industry practices in natural gas trading, scheduling, and pipeline operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn the basic principles of natural gas trading and scheduling
  • Learn the basic principles of natural gas transportation capacity sales
  • Assist scheduling with daily nominations and confirmations
  • Assist with trade input and scheduling in system application
  • Provide support with daily pipeline set up and optimization
  • Analyze data for better optimization decisions
  • Provide analytical data from multiple system applications

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring in business, energy management, real estate, or pre-law disciplines with a minimum completion of sophomore level courses
  • Above average GPA
  • Self-motivated with involvement in activities outside college studies
