Position Overview
Copart, a technology leader and the premier online vehicle auction platform globally with over 200 facilities across the world, links vehicle sellers to more than 750,000 buyers in over 190 countries. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines. Using company-provided tools, the Inventory Specialist will document vehicle condition according to company standards, including a complete inventory and supporting photographs of each vehicle. In addition, by prioritizing tasks, they will direct the flow of traffic in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory. Finally, with a thorough understanding of Copart policy, the Inventory Specialist will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate camera and utilize a handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
- Determine the operational capability of motor vehicles and complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
- Maintain inventory of all materials used.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
Preferred Qualifications
- General automotive knowledge/mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to operate handheld devices preferred.
- Bilingual skill a plus.
