Job Description

Position Overview

As a Senior Construction Project Manager (Facilities Asset Management), you are responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects are properly scoped, designed, and executed with a strict focus on scope, budget, and schedule control. You will manage projects from creation to completion, driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will play an integral role in improving processes and delivering projects within approved budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • SAFETY: Manage overall project safety, secure final approval for contractor submitted safety plans, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, corporate governance standards, and FAM SOGs.
  • PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT: Oversee project design, planning, execution, budgeting, and closeout; manage cash flow reporting, maintain accurate EFCs, and ensure thorough job file maintenance.
  • TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION: Assemble and lead cross-functional teams (internal and external) to achieve integrated project goals.
  • CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT: Support contract administration by defining scope of work, unit costing items, bid alternates, and addressing operational constraints.
  • PROJECT SCHEDULE: Manage the project schedule by establishing critical path tasks and ensuring appropriate manpower allocation to meet deadlines.
  • CLIENT COMMUNICATION: Coordinate with partners, clients, and management to provide updates on project status, schedule, financials, and guest impacts.
  • TECHNICAL COMPETENCY: Utilize construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project/contract management systems effectively.
  • PROCESS COMPETENCY: Administer the change order process within departmental guidelines and update project budgets and EFCs in response to cost trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years’ experience in project/construction management in hospitality, commercial, or industrial construction.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of projects exceeding US$10M annually with expertise in project accounting, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and cost forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, techniques, and applicable codes (e.g., UBC, NEC, UFC).
  • Ability to create compelling presentations for department management to support decisive actions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational prowess, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership experience with the aptitude to manage and mentor early career project managers, including those from a Professional Intern Program.
  • Proven ability to identify project-related risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
  • Education: Either a four-year college degree (BA/BS) in project/construction management (or related field) with 6+ years of relevant experience, or 2 years of college with 8+ years of applicable hands-on project/construction experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project or construction management within a Theme Park environment.
  • Preferred Education: MBA in Project/Construction Management or a related field.

  • Compensation: The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $139,200 to $170,000 per year. The base pay will be determined based on internal equity, geographic region, job-related skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included as part of the full compensation package.
