The Business Analyst will drive business success by providing analyses and solutions to guide decision-making, with a focus on performance metrics, financial assessments, and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze owner, customer, and transactional data to develop recommendations for business decisions related to owner/customer behavior, inventory performance, campaign management, and marketing spend decisions.
- Determine which data is needed to understand product and business performance, and to answer stakeholder questions; recommend actionable courses based on the data gathered.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Team to create insightful reporting that tracks performance across various business units and identifies areas for improved reporting efficiencies.
- Collect, clean, and process data to identify patterns and trends that answer business questions and enhance decision-making.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams in sales, marketing, finance, inventory/revenue management, and others on projects and new business initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data to provide strategic, actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines effectively.
- Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
- A diligent and driven attitude with intellectual curiosity resulting in high-quality analytical insights.
- Capability to combine technical expertise with business acumen to design, develop, and communicate solutions to complex business problems.
- Proven background in quantitative data analysis, statistics, and data mining to solve business problems.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, SQL, Snowflake, or Python.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an analytical role related to sales & marketing, finance, inventory/revenue management, strategy, consulting, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry is a plus, though not required.
- Proficiency in advanced visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc., is a plus.
