Position Overview

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) is the largest credit union in Texas with more than 1 million members and total assets exceeding $18 billion. Recognized for its financial stability and frequently honored as one of the best workplaces in San Antonio, Austin, Texas, and nationwide, RBFCU is now searching for an experienced and talented Cloud Security Analyst to join our outstanding IT Security team.

The Cloud Security Analyst will work on implementing and maintaining data security controls in compliance with policies and regulations, collaborating closely with the Director of Security Operations and other technology teams. Applicants must reside in Texas and have a safe, dedicated workspace at home with a reliable, hardwired internet connection.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in Information Technology preferred
Experience Required: Minimum one year technical information security experience or three years hands-on cloud and cloud hybrid systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of contact for IT Security for other technology teams within the organization related to cloud technologies.
  • Assist with designing and developing security architectures for cloud and cloud hybrid-based systems.
  • Help design and implement cloud-native architectures that meet business requirements while minimizing risk.
  • Represent security in the development and implementation of the overall enterprise cloud architecture.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure services and application development teams to select appropriate cloud technology solutions.
  • Identify, recommend, and coordinate timely updates and knowledge sharing regarding cloud security technologies, processes, and tools.
  • Create, modify, and maintain documentation for cloud architectures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, recognizing that essential functions may evolve over time.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of technical information security experience or three years of hands-on experience with cloud and cloud hybrid systems.
  • Previous experience in a Security Analyst or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting a broad set of security technologies, including secure software development, application security, data protection, cryptography, key management, and identity access management.
  • Familiarity with standard cloud-native authentication mechanisms, deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management.
  • Experience with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), server virtualization technologies, and enterprise applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting).
  • Ability to perform threat modeling and design reviews to assess the security implications of new technologies.
  • Familiarity with O365 implementation and ongoing transitions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, or vendor certifications from Microsoft or Cisco.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard cloud-native authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management.
  • Expertise in working with cloud security and governance tools, CASBs, and server virtualization technologies.
  • Proven experience with enterprise applications in areas of architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong ability to conduct threat modeling and design reviews to evaluate security requirements for new technology introductions.
