Job Description
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated .NET C# Developer for our Dallas, Texas office. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in developing and implementing software solutions that enhance efficiency in transportation, site design, energy fields, healthcare, and other engineering and planning disciplines. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to determine project requirements and enhancements based on business and user needs
- Develop and maintain custom software applications using .NET C# for civil design software
- Enhance existing software systems to improve functionality and user experience
- Quickly evaluate bugs and apply hot fixes to resolve issues
- Utilize Agile development methodologies to ensure timely delivery of quality software projects
- Stay updated on new and innovative development technologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in .NET/C# with an emphasis on desktop development
- Experience using development tools such as Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git
- Experience with databases (SQL Server/Oracle), including writing stored procedures, database tuning, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with modern web development technologies including Blazor, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST, and Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team building skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven track record of developing, debugging, and implementing software solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity
- Ability to absorb new concepts quickly and a willingness to learn the basics of the civil engineering industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and ESRI ArcGIS
