Position Overview
Located in Chicago, Illinois, this full‐time role at Rush Medical Center (Rush University Medical Center – Department of RUMG OB GYNE MFM) operates on a 10‐hour shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM). The position is responsible for the day‐to‐day management of the Corporate Compliance Program for Rush and its Affiliates with a focus on Rush Health. It develops, implements, and maintains the seven (7) elements of an effective compliance program, assists with investigations, regulatory research, and major compliance projects.
Compensation: $41.44 - $67.44 per hour. Rush salaries are determined by multiple factors including education, job‐related experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust corporate compliance program for Rush Health and its clinically integrated network that mirrors the 7 elements of an effective compliance program.
- Manage and support compliance with fraud, waste, and abuse laws and regulations for Rush Health personnel and participating providers.
- Respond to all hotline calls relevant to Rush Health business operations.
- Develop the annual Rush Health compliance work plan reflecting the highest-priority compliance risks.
- Investigate compliance concerns and coordinate follow-up with corrective action plans as needed.
- Identify and incorporate regulatory changes into existing policies or workflows.
- Coordinate with the AVP, Corporate Compliance and legal staff in creating and revising Compliance policies.
- Develop compliance training modules for contracting organizations and staff.
- Track and resolve program issues raised by employers, payers, or members.
- Perform regulatory research and analysis to ensure compliance with business plans and payer relations.
- Create presentations and summary reports for a diverse audience including physicians, nursing staff, and administrators.
- Oversee the annual and monthly sanction check process, developing protocols to ensure data quality.
- Support the Corporate Compliance Office in regulatory investigations and projects.
- Assist with other compliance-related duties and serve on councils, committees, and working groups.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Program.
- Active OB/GYN RDMS certification or the ability to earn the credential within 90 days of employment.
- Certification in Fetal Echo is preferred.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, pathology, and physiology.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform full range body motions, including handling and lifting patients; capable of performing diagnostic ultrasounds on a portable basis when necessary.
- Requires manual and finger dexterity as well as eye-hand coordination.
- Additionally, specific level-based qualifications include:
- LEVEL 1:
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program.
- Active OB/GYN RDMS certification or ability to earn within 60 days.
- Active Nuchal Translucency certification or ability to earn within 60 days.
- Active CLEAR cervical length certification or ability to earn within 60 days.
- LEVEL 2:
- Maintains all requirements of Level 1.
- Performs exams independently per department protocol.
- Demonstrates proficiency in procedures as determined by the sonography supervisor.
- LEVEL 3:
- Maintains the requirements of Levels 1 and 2.
- Leads members of the sonography team on a day-to-day basis as requested.
- Provides support with staff scheduling and clinic workflow as needed.
