Job Description

Position Overview

The Advanced Manufacturing Technician 6 performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GE HealthCare product development and manufacturing. This role involves manufacturing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, assembly, fabrication of fixtures and equipment, set‐up and operation of data acquisition equipment for tests and assembly operations, compliance and quality activities, and training team members. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical communications throughout the product cycle to enhance system performance, reliability, functionality, and serviceability.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution, including conducting experiments and diagnostic tests.
  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor quality data and interpret graphical trends to ensure product compliance.
  • Document production and quality data accurately in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Train other team members on manufacturing processes and share acquired skills or knowledge.
  • Test production assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
  • Maintain complete and accurate work records and assist in preparing formal reports.
  • Recognize and report equipment irregularities that could disrupt the manufacturing process.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience OR High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Experience with technical communications to improve models and externally sourced components.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment, conduct experiments, and perform diagnostic tests to achieve root cause analysis.
  • Experience in testing production assemblies and sub-assemblies against performance specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality monitoring tools and interpreting quality data graphics.
  • Prior experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Intermediate computer skills including data entry and navigating manufacturing systems.
  • Strong communication skills for documentation and reporting in English.
