Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical work related to the storage of samples, clean-up, and maintenance of the laboratory, supplies, and evidence.
- Assist in the gross room when needed by accessioning, cutting frozen sections, and grossing surgical specimens.
- Perform technical tasks and procedures including preventative maintenance in each assigned section.
- Carry out all duties in adherence with current laboratory safety standards.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining compliance with regulating agencies such as CAP, TJC, OSHA, and other federal and state agencies.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, as well as clerical and telephone communications with laboratory customers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from college with a major in an applicable natural science plus two years of experience in similar work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Laboratory training in a laboratory approved or accredited by ABHES, CAHEA, or other agencies approved by HHS, OR at least three months of documented laboratory training for high complexity testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two plus (2+) years of grossing experience.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: Annual Full Pay Range: $82,434 - $102,521 (prorated if appointment percentage is less than 100%); Hourly Equivalent: $39.48 - $49.10.
- Special Conditions: Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
