Job Description

Position Overview

We are actively recruiting for an Associate Account Manager to join the InterWest Team in our Surety Department! The Associate Account Manager enhances and solidifies effective client relationships by aiding Account Managers, Producers and Account Executives in issuing bonds to existing and new clients per quality and service standards developed by the agency. This position can be based in our Chico or Sacramento offices. InterWest has earned continual recognition for outstanding client service, company culture, and community service. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Account Manager by maintaining consistent and continuous communication with Account Managers, Producers, and Account Executives.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service and assistance to clients while meeting or exceeding agency standards and workflows.
  • Complete client servicing tasks related to new business setup, applications, indemnities, renewals, marketing, and bond research.
  • Maintain current and accurate customer data in the Agency Management System and assist with account processing including preparing submissions, processing bonds, riders, continuation certificates, verification of coverage, and indemnity agreements.
  • Investigate account cancellations and resolve issues relating to accounting or client billing to protect client relationships.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of client data, including bond information, significant dates, deadlines, and record changes, while escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Participate in seminars and training sessions to maintain and enhance job and industry knowledge.
  • Assist the Surety Manager, Supervisor, and Account Managers with training, development, and any additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing: Active Property and Casualty Broker-Agent License or obtained within 90 days of employment; Active California Notary Public appointment within 90 days of employment.
  • Location: Chico, CA 95973.
  • Schedule: Full-time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualifications: Property & Casualty Broker-Agent License (Preferred).
  • Requirements: Knowledge of, or experience in, the surety industry is preferable.
