Position Overview
Bentley Systems is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to build the next generation of infrastructure engineering applications. Located in Hybrid, Exton, PA or Philadelphia, this role offers an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled international team shaping the future of engineering applications. You will be responsible for building innovative engineering solutions and creating the future of Drawing Production across various engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and other technologies.
- Participate and contribute to discovery and experimentation efforts.
- Write well-tested, well-documented, and maintainable code and APIs, and participate in code reviews.
- Mentor and share experience with other team members.
- Take ownership of the functionality you design and implement, ensuring high quality.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent bachelor’s degree or training in computer science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
- Proficient with TypeScript, Node.js, Electron, and modern web development.
- Experience working with Git or other distributed version control systems.
- Proactive and results-oriented, able to work independently and solve complex problems.
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them in production.
- Strong team skills and solid communication abilities.
- This position does not require travel.
- Must be able to sit or stand at will while performing work on a computer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of agile scrum development, continuous delivery, and DevOps processes.
- Experience with creating engineering drawings.
- Experience in civil, mechanical, or other engineering disciplines.
- Experience with JavaScript client frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies.
