Position Overview
The Boeing Company is currently seeking a broad range of Mission Systems Electrical Engineers (Entry Level and Associate) to perform integration, qualification and certification of airborne mission system avionics equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role as a member of the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers engineering team located in Richardson, Texas. The position will be an integral member of our MS&B portfolio of programs to ensure they meet all operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support integration of airborne mission system avionics equipment into various platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance
- Assist with development and execution of qualification and certification plans for mission systems hardware, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and systems engineering, to ensure seamless integration of mission systems avionics hardware
- Conduct system-level testing and validation to verify that mission systems avionics hardware meet performance specifications and operational requirements
- Assist with technical issues related to mission systems avionics hardware, providing innovative solutions to complex problems
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and certification documentation
- Support the development of system requirements and specifications for mission systems hardware
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience Required: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience in airborne mission systems avionics, with a focus on integration, qualification, and certification
- Basic understanding of airborne mission system avionics architecture
- Experience with collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and certification processes (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-178C, DO-254)
- Working knowledge in System Engineering tools such as DOORs, JAMA, CAMEO
- Working knowledge of qualification testing requirements for mission system equipment
- Experience with working with suppliers
