Inventory/Supply Associate

Position Overview

Location: 7176 - Columbus Sawmill - 2700 Farmers Dr, Columbus, Ohio, 43235

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle receiving and shipping, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), lot wash and merchandising, taking and uploading photos to CarMax.com, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with the team.
• Participate in training new associates with guidance from Inventory Associate II and/or the Manager.
• Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Ensure daily lot maintenance and security of display areas and work-in-progress zones.
• Secure and receive vehicles shipped to CarMax.
• Prepare vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations.
• Complete scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product status.
• Perform wash and vacuum for customer returns and loaner vehicles, as well as complete front-lot wash.
• Perform the Photo Station process.
• Drive vehicles on and off lot for repairs and storage.
• Provide support to Auctions (if applicable).
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax 5S standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Flow Inventory Associate IVs and Managers.

Required Qualifications

• Current driver’s license and compliance with CarMax DSEPS standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work.
• Completion of Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications and Assigned Workday Learnings.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
