Junior Project Manager (Telecom/Utilities)

Position Overview

The Project Manager manages multiple projects in the telecommunications and electric distribution sector, including both underground and overhead applications. In this role you will oversee all phases of projects—from bidding and planning through execution, quality control, and closeout—while leading teams of full-time employees and subcontractors. You will delegate tasks, manage budgets, address safety and productivity goals, and provide weekly update reports to internal management and external customers. Compensation: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour (OT Eligible). The position is based in Stafford, VA with a transition to Chantilly, VA, so the ability to commute between these locations is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all project phases including bidding, planning, execution, quality control, and closeout.
• Lead multiple departments including full-time employees and subcontractors.
• Delegate tasks and assign internal deadlines to ensure customer due dates are met.
• Manage budgets, financial monitoring, and stakeholder communications.
• Provide weekly update reports to internal management and external customers.

Required Qualifications

• Experience and/or working knowledge in Project Management software.
• Understanding of utilities (underground/overhead) or telecom industry.
• Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience in utility engineering/management/design is a plus.
