Medical Assistant (MA)

Position Overview

Cayuga Health, a leading healthcare system, is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) Urology to provide exceptional patient care and support to physicians at multiple locations, including Cayuga Heart & Vascular at Ithaca Mall and Cayuga Medical Center. This role is critical to our clinical team and requires excellent people and communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to equitable healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties and procedures in accordance with NYS laws and practice protocols to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Record patient vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and sterilize equipment and supplies per established protocols.
• Assist physicians/providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, test results, and patient calls.
• Prepare patient records for visits as directed by the physician/provider.

Required Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated clinical competency including proficiency in aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with basic keyboard proficiency.
