Job Description

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse performs a variety of nursing duties caring for patients ranging from those needing minor treatment to managing acutely ill cases. Working in a free‐standing outpatient facility that delivers high quality care through a hyper-efficient model, this role helps reduce ER visits and hospital admissions while yielding overall savings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completion of orders on a variety of patients from minor treatment to acutely ill.
  • Perform accurate triages and discharges for patients of all ages and identify those with critical needs.
  • Manage medication administration, record maintenance, and storage.
  • Accurately input patient discharge instructions and prescriptions into computer software.
  • Provide quality splinting, dressing applications, and wound care.
  • Perform EKGs/cardiac monitoring with proficiency in recognizing arrhythmias.
  • Prepare procedures per organizational protocols (e.g., I&D, suture, pelvic exam, lumbar puncture, chest tubes).
  • Communicate effectively with team members and patients.
  • Delegate duties appropriately to PCC’s, Lab Staff, and Radiology Staff.
  • Initiate Pre-MD evaluation orders when appropriate to expedite patient care.
  • Utilize organizational software to reference patient records and protocols.
  • Support the Facility Leader (FL) and Nurse Operations Manager (NOM) as a positive team player.
  • Adhere to information security policies and report on their effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Nursing.
  • Active Florida RN License or compact RN license with authorization to practice in Florida. (Must convert to Florida license within 60 days of hire.)
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience; less than 3 years may be considered with an internal recommendation.
  • At least 2 years in an ER setting with 1 year in ICU or Critical Care, or 3 years of experience in an ER environment; experience in a hospital or freestanding ER is highly preferred.
  • ACLS and PALS certification.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‐paced environment and perform duties required in a busy medical setting (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.).
  • Able to work up to a 12-hour shift and travel between local facilities (within a 50-mile radius) as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in English (written, spoken, and reading); bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Note: RN’s currently employed by or affiliated with medical marijuana clinics are ineligible for hire.
  • Travel: Up to 30% travel to support clinic operations across the market, including coverage at other locations, trainings, meetings, and additional operational needs.
