Position Overview

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Fueler Service Technician at Ryder in Nashville, Tennessee. This role, as a Fuel Island Attendant, involves working the Third Shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am) from Friday to Tuesday with an hourly rate ofCompensation: $22.50 per hour. Key Responsibilities

  • Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles
  • Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units; check tire pressure, oil, and report any service issues
  • Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories
  • Move heavy duty vehicles as required
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as tire repairs, under close supervision
  • Maintain the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and perform facility upkeep as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two (2) years or more of related work experience, preferred
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and data entry
  • High degree of thoroughness and dependability
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work at various locations and build professional relationships at all levels
  • Capability for multi-tasking with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
  • DOT Safety Regulated and Safety Sensitive Position
  • Regulated Service Employee: Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire; pass a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background/motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification for the past three years)
