In this role, you will be a key member of the Software, Technology, Engineering, Product & Networking organization as a Senior Lead Software Developer. You will guide the design, development, and deployment of scalable, resilient software solutions within a cloud-native architecture while translating business requirements into effective technical designs.

Location: Work from home within the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) or Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
  • Lead application modernization efforts, refactoring monolithic systems into microservices architectures and migrating from legacy platforms to AWS.
  • Implement RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and serverless solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS DevOps tools (X-Ray, CloudWatch, etc.), and Git workflows to automate build, test, and deployment.
  • Coordinate and execute release activities, managing dependencies, risks, and schedules across teams while troubleshooting deployment issues and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, InfoSec, Software Delivery, and Quality Assurance to enable a fully automated move to the cloud.
  • Research new technologies to improve efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience in Java or Python.
  • 3+ years of hands-on DevOps and cloud infrastructure experience.
  • 2+ years of AWS cloud migration project experience.
  • Strong background in Rancher orchestration, containerization, and multi-cloud networking.
  • Experience with APM solutions (AppDynamics preferred, Dynatrace acceptable).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as load balancers, SSL, API Gateways, and DNS.
  • Experience with secrets management solutions.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
  • Experience working with distributed messaging platforms like Kafka.
